Trying to be crafty!

I am working on a project right now, but I can’t share, because it may be for someone who checks this blog out!   Hehehe….

It is inspiring me to be crafty in more things I do.  So, I am looking for any type of motivation you gals have!!!

Share some ideas or links to ideas that help you bring out the “crafty” in you!!!

I will be scrapbooking this weekend.  That is one of my creative outlets.  I am so excited.  It has been way too long since I have sat and cut out pictures and paper and played with stickers! LOL

Valley Fair

We met Todd and Debbie and their kids at Valley Fair on Thursday night. We had a lot of fun!!!

What a weekend!

Wow, this was just a crazy weekend!! Friday morning, Maren and I got up at 5 a.m. to get set up for the garage sale. We had quite a bit of stuff, so the driveway was covered!! We opened at 7, and had a pretty good rush around 7:30. At one time we had 4 people wanting to pay, and we had no system down yet! We got it after a while (remember, my first garage sale…and we had FIVE people with stuff there!!). The day was off and on busy, but it was a success. Saturday was a different story. We got up and 6 and set everything outside. LOOKED GREAT! Then about 8 it started to sprinkle. We had only FIVE customers all day. Oh well. Between the 5 of us we made about $420, which is pretty good for being rained out on Saturday! My friend Darcy came over and helped for a while on Friday and Saturday, and Debbie came down to visit with her kiddos! Here are a few pictures from the day!!

34 years old today!!  Wow, am I glad that I married an older man and that I am not the older one! LOL

Happy birthday to my sweetest husband!!  You are the best, and Alex and I love you so much!!   Hope you enjoy your day and here’s to many more to come!!!!

Franz’s birthday project and the cat

Yes, it is Franz’s birthday today and I put him to work! LOL I wanted a shelf above my computer desk (thanks to Florence’s HGTV mind!), so we went to Menard’s today and bought 2 shelves. He put one up this morning, and will wait until after Alex is up from his nap to do the 2nd one! I like the added space on my desk already!!! Here is a picture of the first shelf, I will add the 2nd once it is up!

And, since I rarely, if ever share a picture of Mr. McKitty, here is one of him today. He is an addict, yes, you heard that right, an addict! He is addicted to stickers/tape! He was digging his nose in this bag to find one of the stickers I took off the shelves before we hung them! LOL Silly kitty!!

Garage sale update

Well, the big garage sale is this weekend, the 17th and 18th. (The 17th being my 29th birthday!!!) I am excited, but ready for it to be over. They sure are a lot of work! I hope I get rid of a lot of junk. I think I have drug out about 500 or more things! I have 3 friends adding to my collection as well!! The weather looks to be nice both days, so I hope the crowds just pour in!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of my garage in the middle of set up! I still have a bit to do, and get Michelle and Maren’s stuff in there, but slowly buy surely it is coming along!!

Busy, busy, busy

These next few weeks for us are jam packed!!  I am excited and feeling overwhelmed at times too!!

First, this week I have a lot of things to do around the house, as well as continue to price things and set up for the garage sale!  Friday, Florence (Franz’s older sister) is coming to stay with us for the weekend! (So excited!!)  Saturday night she is taking us out for supper (I believe I posted a link before for the restaurant!).  Alex will be going to Michelle’s house for the night!  He LOVES it there!!

Then, next week will be more garage sale preparations!  Franz’s birthday is Tuesday (the 14th).  He will most likely take that day off, which will help me out a ton!   Maren will be coming sometime on Thursday to help with the set up and to go “shopping”!   Friday is the big garage sale day, as well as another important day!   My 29th birthday *gasp*!  Yes, I will be 29 folks.  I need to really enjoy this next year, as it is my last in the blessed 20’s!!  Man, that last 10 years just flew by…but that is a whole nother post!

So, Friday and Saturday will be garage sale, all day!!!

Then, the next weekend…KENDRA is coming home!  I don’t know when I will see her (not much I am sure, she has lots to visit and a special someone meeting her here!!).

The following weekend after that I believe is Labor Day.  We will be relaxing on the lake with Franz’s parents and sisters!!

So, there it is, in a nutshell.  You are probably bored to tears, if you made it this far…but it helps me to type things out, so I remember it better!
